Donald Johnson paused his finger that was drying his hair, then after pondering for a moment, said, "Let him do as he pleases. Now that the person has been found, however, he wants to torment; why should you interfere?"
But the way he was acting, it wasn't tormenting, clearly, he was tormenting himself!
Mrs. Johnson felt a heart-wrenching pain, but she didn't expect that her husband wouldn't support her either, and out of anger, lay on the bed with her back to her husband.
Donald finished drying his hair, turned over, got into bed, and hugged his wife's body, whispering to her, "Don't bother with their affairs anymore. Let them handle it themselves. The person has been found; what are you still worried about?"
Mrs. Johnson watched the two of them interact and felt uneasy. With a woman's sensitive intuition, she sensed that the matter wasn't as simple as her husband made it out to be.
But she herself couldn't articulate why, so she sighed softly and nodded helplessly.
