"Shall I go... check on him?" Amanda Smith mulled over these words, then chuckled with amusement. She looked at Tim Morrison and said nonchalantly, "It seems that I've spoiled not just him, but all of you too..."
Her smile unsettled Tim Morrison as he watched it—it felt somewhat piercing.
His scalp tingled, unsure of what he had said wrong. Samuel Johnson, that proud man, wouldn't even come in after arriving at the hospital entrance; as a friend, Tim could only come to Amanda to look for a solution.
But looking at Amanda now, why did she seem even harder to deal with than Samuel?
Upon realizing this fact, Tim felt a heavy burden on his mind.
"Are you... having problems?" he carefully asked, "One is in the hospital, the other is abroad, and these past few days, I haven't been able to contact him at all." He touched his nose, looking at Amanda's pale face, "You seem to have lost a lot of weight. Are you ill?"
