Samuel Johnson lingered at the hospital entrance for a while before leaving by car. Tim Morrison leaned against the door, thought for a bit, and then turned and entered the hospital.
His hunch was right; Amanda Smith was indeed in the hospital. He asked a nurse and stealthily made his way to Amanda's ward, spotting from a distance the heavily-guarded single-patient room.
Sheesh, what's going on here?
It looked like the isolated cell of a high-profile prisoner.
Tim Morrison took a few steps forward and the bodyguards stationed there spotted him, coming over to stop his advance, "Access beyond this point is not permitted."
Tim Morrison touched his nose, glancing towards the ward as he said, "Um... I'm a friend of Amanda Smith. Is she ill? I came to see how she's doing."
The bodyguard, stern and impartial, ruthlessly denied him entry, "No way."
"Ah..." Tim Morrison sighed.
