Amanda Smith slept for a while, woke up feeling even weaker. She hadn't eaten all day and knew that expecting anything from Samuel Johnson was futile. She pressed the call button to ask a nurse to bring her some food, eating silently by herself and paying no heed to Samuel.
Samuel Johnson sat alone, bored out of his mind. He had spent the entire day in the hospital and was incredibly bored; Amanda wasn't talking to him, and having broken up with Tasha Moore, he didn't even have someone to chat with. By evening, he was surprised to see Amanda eating dinner alone, not even asking for his meal.
That was just too much!
He became angry, abruptly standing up from the lounge chair with a dark look at the person on the bed, thinking to himself that he would wait, see who could be more stubborn, see who would cave first! A mere Amanda Smith dared to throw a tantrum at him! The audacity!
