Amanda Smith watched as he slowly took off his jacket. Her face turned ghastly pale in an instant, and, in a frenzy, she tried to twist the doorknob with her bound hands. Behind her, Fletcher Kinney sneered darkly, "The car door is locked, you're wasting your energy!"
Amanda didn't speak, but instead threw her body against the car door. The door, however, did not budge, and the man's bleak laughter echoed within the car.
Fletcher Kinney removed his jacket and grabbed one of Amanda's legs, ignoring her struggles as he dragged her over to him like a corpse.
"No..." She gripped the handle with both hands, until her fingernails cracked, yet she was still pulled over.
The man carried a scent that made her feel sick to her stomach. In the cramped space, she couldn't even struggle. It was as if she was back in that dark, sunless private room, causing the hairs on her body to stand on end.
