Amanda Smith's expression turned cold when she saw Mrs. Johnson. She set down her chopsticks without making a sound.
Samuel Johnson had been planning to settle accounts with his mother, but seeing her approaching, he too set down his bowl and chopsticks and turned his head to look at her.
His expression was sinister. "Good timing, I wanted to find you too." He stood up and said to his mother, who was standing at the door, "Let's go outside and talk. We need to clear things up about Amanda."
Mrs. Johnson's smile froze on her face.
She knew that Samuel Johnson would take his anger out on her because of Amanda Smith, but looking at Samuel's expression at that moment, she suddenly realized that it might not just be anger.
Samuel Johnson ignored her momentarily rigid expression. He spoke a few gentle words to Amanda Smith before he stood up and strode toward the door.
