The Ji Family's invitation asked them to attend a banquet on the 20th of September. Bai Shan went to the prefectural school the next day to inquire and found that many schoolmates had received the Ji Family's invitation, including but not limited to those who had helped Ji Hao behind Qixia Mountain that day.
"All who get along well with Ji Hao were invited," Wei Ting said. "Even though he has a broken leg now and won't return to school until after the New Year, he still wants to stay in touch with his classmates. Plus, the banquet can be considered a celebration as well."
Bai Shan asked, "A celebration of Ji Hao's survival?"
Knowing that Bai Shan didn't get along very well with Ji Hao, Wei Ting gave an awkward smile and asked, "Are you going to go?"
"We've accepted the invitation, so how could we not go? It would be too rude not to," Bai Shan said. "The host is the Ji Family, not Ji Hao."
