"Mr. Brown, do you know what 'reap what you sow' means?" Owen Moreland was calm, showing none of the anger or anxiety James Brown had expected.
As James heard his indifferent tone, his eyebrows furrowed slightly, sensing something was amiss. Before he could ponder further, he emphasized again, "Owen Moreland, if you don't come within half an hour, prepare to collect the corpse of Amelia Clarke's brother."
"The melon that's twisted off the vine isn't sweet; do you think forcing me to get engaged to Jocelyn Griffin will make her happy?" Owen's tone was mocking.
There was a moment of silence on the other end, before laughter erupted from James Brown, "You have half an hour." Then he hung up.
Owen heard the busy tone 'beep beep' from the phone and chuckled lightly.
