Jocelyn Griffin listened to her and the smile on her face faded slightly, "Do you know that Grandpa Moreland wants Owen and me to get engaged on New Year's Day?"
Amelia Clarke was momentarily stunned.
Jocelyn Griffin sharply captured the change in her expression, understanding that she didn't know, and slowly started to smile, "Owen didn't tell you?"
Amelia Clarke's expression quickly returned to normal, and she smiled, "Then congratulations to you first." She paused, her smile meaningful, "I wish you success in your engagement."
In the afternoon rehearsal, Amelia Clarke was clearly out of sorts.
That evening, back at the hotel, Amelia Brown was busy altering the size of the remaining sample dress. Although she had just started her internship, her skills were quite good, and her needlework was superb.
