"Wait a second!" Olivia Wilson called out to her, "Can you go directly to where your uncle is on his business trip tomorrow to find him? Mason's situation really can't be delayed, I tried calling your uncle today, and he didn't answer, it's really exasperating."
Amelia Clarke lowered her eyelashes, her voice quiet, "Understood."
After hanging up the phone, Amelia Clarke sat down on the floor, unable to hide the fatigue in her eyes.
Because of the rain, there were almost no customers in the small supermarket, the entrance was very quiet, with only the pitter-patter of rain and the occasional laughter of the staff inside.
Amelia Clarke felt her body gradually becoming weak and powerless, her head heavy, her eyelids clinging together.
She didn't know how much time had passed.
"Amelia Clarke?" Someone called her from above.
She looked up, vision not very clear, she seemed to see Ann Chapman's face through the haze.
"Dr. Chapman?" Her voice was tinged with weakness.
