James Carter slowly lowered his head, his gaze cold and merciless, "If it's my child, of course I'll love and spoil them like a treasure. If they're not my child, why should I care?"
Amelia Clarke was stunned.
As if burnt, she violently let go.
Panic crept up on her heart for no reason.
"What do you mean by that?"
James Carter said indifferently, "Just what it sounds like."
Meaning, Leon Carter is his child, therefore he loved and pampered him, while Amelia Clarke and Mason Carter were not his children, and therefore he didn't care about them at all.
"You're talking nonsense!" Amelia Clarke suddenly stood up, glaring at James Carter fiercely, "I don't believe it!"
Her voice was a bit loud, and everyone in the café looked over.
James Carter shook off her hand again and said, "That's the truth, whether you believe it or not."
Having said that, he left with Leon Carter in his arms, ignoring the odd looks from the people around him.
