The wine went around once.
Ciara Taylor poured another two glasses of red wine to toast Amelia Clarke.
Amelia Clarke watched the glass being handed to her without blinking, but didn't reach out to take it.
Ciara Taylor joked, "What's the matter? Afraid I'd poison it?"
Amelia Clarke laughed, "Would you?"
Ciara Taylor subconsciously glanced at William Smith, only to meet his suspicious gaze.
Her heart ached.
Could it be that William Smith didn't trust her at all?
"Haha…" Ciara Taylor's fingertips clamped tightly around the stem of the glass, her laugh somewhat stiff, "Amelia, you really can joke. I know I've done many bad things before, and you don't trust me. Fine, I'll drink this one."
Amelia Clarke watched as she brought the rim to her lips, with no intention of stopping her.
"Sister!" Sherry Taylor ran over and snatched the glass from Ciara Taylor's hand, "This wine is dirty, let's change it."
