The cold wind swept through, cutting across the face like ice knives, Amelia Clarke wore a hat and wrapped herself in a scarf, only her eyes visible as she stood on the roadside hailing a cab. Once in the car, she suddenly felt a bit hungry, her stomach even letting out a 'gurgle' of hunger.
She herself wasn't particularly fond of food and didn't eat much as a rule, but lately, for some unknown reason, her appetite had mysteriously improved, and she often felt hungry.
As the car passed a supermarket, she got out, wanting to buy something to fill her stomach.
There was a delivery truck unloading goods at the entrance of the supermarket. As Amelia walked past, suddenly, a heavy box tumbled down from the truck, landing on the ground with a 'thud', sounding as if it had hit someone, followed by a cry of pain.
She initially paid no attention, but as she approached, she froze in place.
