Edward Abel finished speaking, and Serene Abel cried even harder.
Victoria Sheldon felt terribly heartbroken, and snapped at Edward Abel, "Your sister is already crying like this, and you still make such insensitive remarks!"
Edward Abel shrugged and closed his mouth; he had wanted to snap his foolish and stubborn sister out of it, but okay, it backfired.
Gently stroking Serene's back, Victoria Sheldon said, "My dear, don't cry, I'll think of a way to help you with Owen."
Serene Abel lifted her tear-filled eyes, "Mom, he doesn't like me, what can you possibly do?"
Victoria Sheldon: "I will go to the Moreland's mansion tomorrow."
Edward Abel disagreed, "Mom, you better not mess this up, you know what kind of person Owen is. If he's unwilling, not even the sky falling down could pressure him to do it. We might end up not just failing to become relatives but also souring the relationship between our two families."
