That tone, Ann Chapman could clearly hear a hint of boasting and pride.
He said defiantly, "Big deal, I will have some too in the future, and even more than you!"
Owen Moreland replied indifferently, "More wives? In that regard, I am indeed not your match."
Ann Chapman paused for a moment, "I'm talking about kids, my wife will have more kids than yours..."
Realizing something, Ann Chapman smiled and, looking at Owen Moreland's meticulous expression, said, "It seems you're quite happy, even in the mood to tease me."
From the beginning until now, Owen Moreland had maintained this calm and light demeanor, almost making Ann Chapman believe he didn't care about the number of 'pups' in the girl's belly; but it turned out he wasn't entirely without reaction. He was still the same old person, always keeping his emotions tightly reined in, appearing stiff and uninteresting.
