Amelia Clarke didn't just say she was tired to make an excuse for Owen Moreland to go to work.
Her pregnancy symptoms seemed to have worsened over the past couple of days, with more severe dizziness and fatigue, and an unusual desire to sleep.
After admonishing Mason Carter not to be naughty, Amelia went to bed in the master bedroom and woke up at five o'clock in the afternoon, with the sun still slanting westward, not yet set.
She got up to go to the bathroom, and just as she came out, her phone rang.
It was Viola Harris's call.
She hadn't even managed to say "hello" before Viola's voice came through, "Amelia, I have two tickets to a music concert, do you want to go?"
Amelia laughed, "Am I hearing things wrong? You actually want to go to a music concert? I think a fan meeting with your idol going crazy would be more your style."
Viola ignored her teasing and asked again, "Are you going or not?"
