Jocelyn's fingers tightened slightly around the steering wheel, the knuckles turning white. She focused on the road ahead, her face expressionless, yet her voice carried both delight and sincerity as she spoke, "Congratulations, I'll definitely give you a big red envelope when the time comes."
Amelia Clarke smiled, "Thank you."
The car stopped in front of one of the buildings in the quadrangle courtyard, and Amelia leaned forward slightly, "Sister Jocelyn, come up for a cup of tea."
It was an invitation that was half polite, half genuine.
Since they had arrived at her doorstep, not inviting her in would be bad manners. Besides, it was only right to show some gratitude given that Jocelyn had kindly given her a ride home.
Jocelyn declined with a smile, "No, thanks, I have an appointment to meet someone soon, I won't disturb your rest. Goodbye."
Watching the red sedan drive away, Viola Harris couldn't help but tell Amelia, "What a great opportunity, how could you not seize it."
