Amelia Clarke uttered a soft "Hmm."
Owen Moreland asked again, "How long will you be gone?"
Listening to his very calm voice, without any hint of displeasure, Amelia felt the issue should not be too significant, so she said, "I'll stay until school starts. The summer vacation is just two months, and the finals of the Fashion Competition are in a bit more than a month. Besides, when I rented the place, I paid for two months, so I can't waste that."
Owen Moreland swapped the ice pack to the other cheek and gently lifted her T-shirt to caress her tight, flat abdomen.
"You can go, but not tomorrow. The day after."
Amelia wanted to ask why, but then thought it didn't make much difference just one day. Tomorrow she could go to the hospital to see Viola Harris, ask when she would be discharged, what materials she needed, and while at the Remnant Fabric Market she could help her look for them...
Her thoughts suddenly broke off.
