Benjamin Moreland had a darker complexion, but his features were handsome and his stature matched Owen Moreland's in height. He had a strong build, and the fabric of his suit stretched tightly over his arms, as if his muscles were about to burst through the material.
He looked down at Amelia Clarke, nodded his head slightly, but didn't speak.
Amelia Clarke didn't feel awkward; his solemnity likely had to do with his duties. Those who defend their country deserve respect.
Owen asked, "When do you leave?"
Benjamin glanced at his watch, "In about ten minutes."
Owen: "Have you seen Grandma yet?"
Benjamin: "I'm here, isn't that enough? Whether I see her or not, what does it matter?"
Owen's tone carried a hint of admonishment, "It's been so long since that happened..."
Benjamin cut him off, "To me, it's as if it happened yesterday. Okay, I'll go say hello to your dad and Third Uncle before I leave."
