Amelia Clarke rose to her feet and walked a few steps forward, "Grandma, it's been a long time, how have you been lately?"
Emily Collins held Amelia's hand as she sat down, repeatedly saying, "Good, good, good, with you thinking of me, I couldn't be better. I didn't expect you to get along with that boy from the Moreland family, but that's good. Owen, whom I've watched grow up, is a responsible and committed young man, worthy of our Amelia."
Jocelyn Griffin seized the moment to cling to Emily Collins and act coquettishly, "Grandma, then who do you think should be a match for your goddaughter?"
Emily Collins poked her forehead, "You, at twenty-six, disagree with this suggestion and that one as well. What match, then? Might as well ship you off to the nunnery!"
After a pause, she added, "You should also hurry up. When a girl reaches a certain age, she needs to get married and have children quickly."
