Amelia Clarke also smiled at Jocelyn Griffin, then turned her head back to the Counter Lady, and the smile on her face instantly faded away, "Is it I who wants to buy this watch, or is it my friend who wants to buy it?"
The Counter Lady didn't quite understand the meaning of her question and could only reply truthfully, "It's you who wants to buy it."
"Then who should pay for it?"
The Counter Lady began to understand and her voice lowered a few decibels, "You should pay for it."
Amelia Clarke didn't say another word but just calmly looked at the Counter Lady, a pressuring aura faintly emanating from her.
Although she usually seemed all smiles, looking gentle and easy to get along with, without a temperamental air, once she became serious, the imposing manner she assumed was intimidating.
The Counter Lady hesitated for a moment, then said in a negotiating tone, "Could you... just give the money to your friend? Otherwise, it would be difficult for us to handle."
