Amelia Clarke pursed her lips, the hand he held in his palm sweating slightly, clammy in his grasp.
Returning to South Hill Villa, Dorothy Brown had already gone home, and the entire villa rested quietly under the night sky.
Owen Moreland parked the car in the villa's garage, got out, and helped Amelia Clarke open the car door, leading her by the hand toward the mansion's entrance.
The courtyard lights were bright, casting long shadows of the two on the ground.
"I have to fly to Hong Kong this weekend; you're coming with me," Owen Moreland suddenly spoke.
"Hmm," Amelia Clarke stared at the shadow of their intertwined hands on the ground, feeling blissful inside. She didn't quite catch what Owen Moreland said and replied absentmindedly.
After a moment, Owen Moreland used his fingerprint to unlock the mansion's front door. Amelia Clarke came to her senses belatedly, "What? Go to Hong Kong?"
With a 'click', the door opened. Owen Moreland pulled it open while replying, "Yeah."
