All throughout the morning, Viola Harris was distracted, occasionally staring at Amelia Clarke in a daze.
Amelia asked her several times if something was wrong, but she just shook her head and said nothing.
The bell rang for lunch break.
Mia Moreland and Rosy Mone walked ahead, while Amelia Clarke and Viola Harris followed behind.
As the crowd moved out of the teaching building, Viola Harris took Amelia by the hand and headed in the opposite direction of the flow.
Amelia was puzzled, "Where are we going?"
Without a word, Viola pressed on, dragging her forward.
Amelia furrowed her brow but didn't say anything further and followed her lead.
Rosy Mone, who had been walking out with the crowd along with Mia Moreland, glanced back unintentionally and saw the two heading in another direction. She pursed her lips and said to Mia, "Those two are always so secretive, who knows what they're plotting."
Mia replied, "Who are you talking about?"
