Chapter 16 - Meet

He wants to make Luo Xi interested in him until she falls in love.

Maybe it was a little difficult, but he thought there was a chance of success, and most importantly, he needed to continue being by her side to keep her gaze focused on him so that Lin Diao's scenario of making her fall in love with him failed.

After thinking about the plan, Jellal took a step.

In no time, he appeared behind Luo Xi, without her noticing at all even though they were only a meter apart.

The difference in their strength was still very far in the end as Jellal was equivalent to the Dragon Emperor Peak.

Jellal then moved his foot until he stepped on a dry leaf, producing a small sound.

Luo Xi turned around with a quick movement, and was instantly shocked as she saw a male figure standing calmly behind her.

She really didn't sense his existence at all. If she hadn't looked at him with her eyes, she wouldn't have known that there was someone right in front of her.

Of course, she was also astonished by Jellal's physical appearance.

During her lifetime, she had met countless amazing men with backgrounds and looks that were enough to drive any woman crazy.

She was not attracted to any of them because they always gave her the impression that they were lowly creatures compared to her.

She was of the heavens while they were of mortal dust.

However, when she saw Jellal, she instantly thought that now she too was of mortal dust, then met someone from the heavens.

"Who are you?" She quickly discarded various unnecessary thoughts, turning vigilant.

Even if Jellal had an impressive appearance, she couldn't act casual in front of a stranger.

"A passerby," Jellal replied calmly.

"You're not from this world?" Luo Xi was the type of woman who always speculated wildly, so she immediately thought that far ahead.

"Right..." Jellal didn't argue with that and smiled faintly.

"I didn't expect that this small world has such a beautiful woman, it's hard to find one like you even in the place where I come from, so I came over to take a closer look."

Jellal was saying a bit of nonsense, but it wasn't entirely wrong either.

Luo Xi was indeed beautiful enough to stand out even in Sky City.

She just lacked strength.

For Jellal, what mattered now was that he expressed his interest in her.

Luo Xi's eyes slightly showed a strange look as she felt like Jellal was teasing her.

And she had to admit that when she was teased by Jellal, there was a different vibe and sensation. It was not the same as when she was teased by men in this world where she only felt uncomfortable and uneasy.

Plus, she couldn't help but be curious about the world Jellal came from.

It was impossible for her to avoid because she was a cultivator full of ambition.

However, with her personality, it was a bit difficult to ask about that. She didn't like to be seen as curious.

Jellal looked into the woman's eyes, quite understanding what she was thinking just by looking at the light within her eyes.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be so interested in that tomb," he said, choosing to ask to continue the interaction.

To get a woman interested, a man does need to keep saying something because a woman is sometimes quite shy to speak first.

"I came to watch over my disciple, and help him," Luo Xi replied, she didn't think much while answering.

"So you have a disciple, I think I can guess," Jellal said afterwards, leaving Luo Xi a bit confused.

"There was a young man with no background who quite surprised the people in the city." Jellal explained while looking at Wind City.

"His name is Lin Diao. My instinct tells me there's a karmic connection between you and him."

"You really guessed it..." Luo Xi was even more surprised.

"It's not something difficult to connect," Jellal replied.

"I guess that's true, that different places we live, different insights we have. The world you come from should be very strong, right?" said Luo Xi.

"Yeah. Even if it's you, it took a very long journey to reach that world. Most die on the way, and some lose their ambition."

After hearing Jellal's answer, Luo Xi seemed to fall silent with her eyes fixed on the sky. Perhaps she was asking herself if she could travel that far.

She then shook her head.

"I think life is really unfair. We cultivators in the small world have to travel much longer with less insight," she said.

"That's something that can't be denied. However, even in my world, there are many mighty beings who come from the small worlds. They are quite powerful and cannot be suppressed, sometimes even more feared because of their great life experience," Jellal replied.

"As long as your heart remains strong, I believe you too can achieve what they have achieved."

"Only time can tell that." Luo Xi apparently did not seem so optimistic.

"By the way, I need to see my disciple now, will you come along?" she added.

It seemed that she could not stop this conversation yet, but she also had to see Lin Diao, so she invited Jellal to follow her.

This was not because of any special interest factor, but personally she did want to talk more to broaden her horizons.

This scenario wouldn't be different even if Jellal was an old man. As long as he didn't give off a threatening flavor, of course.

"No problem!" Jellal nodded with a faint smile.

Luo Xi was quite happy to hear that because she was even thinking of delaying seeing her disciple if Jellal refused.

"Follow me," she said, taking a step into a certain area of the forest.

With their strength, meeting Lin Diao was not difficult at all.

The latter was standing beside a large tree, observing the people who started entering the tomb.

Luo Xi and Jellal appeared suddenly nearby. He was a little surprised, and happy that he finally saw his beautiful teacher once again, but became gloomy as it turned out that his teacher came with Jellal.
