"Are you alright, Mandarin? You have been in a state of restlessness since morning." Ella spoke finally after not being able to pretend like she didn't see what was going on with her sister.
The Mayor was going to hold a dinner party that evening and he had strongly advised Mandarin to invite Ryan over as his distinguished guest. She didn't dare to actually confess to her parents that things had gone wrong. That would simply downgrade her more than anything else.
She still tried her best to send a message to Ryan through diverse methods, hoping that he would come and not embarrass her by his absence.
"You can't understand," Mandarin replied to her sister.
"Is it about Ryan?" She suddenly asked and Mandarin paused, she looked at her sister questioningly.
"I mean, the only person who can make you this restless is no other than Ryan so I guess I am right after all."
