On Evie's way back home, she was unhappy and her mind was filled with thoughts of uncertainties. She had lied to her siblings that all was well when sincerely, all was far from being too well. Did she make a mistake by accepting this job in the first place?
The real reason she put her siblings in a distant area was to protect them and make them less worried. But that cover didn't seem to be working anymore as leaving them alone in this season was bound to put them in trouble too.
She then snapped her fingers and looked at the rearview mirror afterward, her face darkening as she realized something.
"Stop the car." She ordered the driver and the man did as he was told by parking at a legal spot. She got off and paid her fare before crossing the street, walking through an alley during the daytime. She covered her head with the hoodie that she was wearing and quickly put on a mask alongside a pair of black shades.
