We celebrated all night, me with orange juice and them with champagne. I felt at peace and genuinely happy for the first time in these years. This baby is going to be everything for me now. Many will think that it is out of wedlock and a mistake of the one-night stand but it is a blessing for me no matter what people think.
I woke up early in the morning and started my day by doing light yoga before I would have skipped breakfast but now I can't do that so I prepared a healthy breakfast and ate it peacefully.
My thoughts went to Jeon and his reaction when I told him that we are going to be parents. We don't even know each other, we just know our names and what we do but that night it felt like we didn't need any introductions. We are very different from each other. Different in everything, what if he feels embarrassed that why he left me in the morning without even leaving a message.
What if he wants me to get rid of the baby! No, he can't do that right? This baby is too precious to lose. If he doesn't want to take responsibility then I won't force him.
My thoughts were stopped by the ringing of my phone which I left in my room. I wiped my hands on my apron and shut the water tap and went to retrieve the phone from the room. Andre is calling me, I forgot that we have a meeting with the couple today.
" Hello, Andre!"
" Hello, Good morning!" He rasped out and I know he is still having a hangover from the night.
" Very Good morning, Andreeeeee!" I yelled into the phone knowing it would irritate him.
" Ahhhh! Woman! Stop yelling. My nerves will burst due to your yelling." He gritted out.
" Ha ha ha ha…..Oops! Sorry." I started laughing hard at his groaning.
" Today you are way chirpy than any day." He grumbled.
" You know the reason and now tell me why you are calling!"
" Ugh, likewise, you know why I am calling you now in this state, Enya."
" I know the reason Andre, I just want to listen from your mouth." I teased him some more, giggling.
" You are stomping on my nerves Enya, please be on time and I have already texted you the address and time."
" Okay, I will be on time as you know I am more punctual than others I know who always come late." I scoffed at his words.
" Whatever Enya, my head is aching, please end the call and go to the meeting. We need this deal to be done.
" Okay, I know it. Byeeee Andreeeeee." I yelled one last time and ended the call before hearing his groaning at cursing.
It's so much fun teasing Andre, there was a smile playing on my face throughout the time I started getting ready for the meeting. He has texted me the address and time and I have one hour to reach the restaurant.
I called Siya on the way to check on what she is up to and how she is holding up her hangover. She is so good at holding up her hangovers than me and Andre but last night she drank a lot. She answered on the second ring groaning into the phone. I think she has the worst hangover ever.
" Hello! Who is it?"
" Helloooooo," I yelled.
" Ughhhh, shut the hell up!" She cursed out at me.
" How are you holding up siya?"
" I was doing great seconds before your call Enya."
" Hahaha…... it's nice hearing that you were doing great."
" Why did you call so early in the morning? She groaned out and hear her shifting on the bed.
" It is not an early morning siya, it's eleven in the morning close to afternoon." I laughed at her gasp.
" Oh my God, I had to be in the office. My dad is gonna flip. Bye! Take care and give my kisses to my niece." She yelled on the phone running around like a headless chicken.
" Okay, Take care." I ended the call laughing imagining her running around stumbling on her feet.
I parked my car in front of the restaurant and took a deep breath preparing myself for the meeting. I need to be prepared and have to maintain a professional smile all the time. We need this deal, it's going to be a big wedding and it will bring us money and a name. I hope I will crack this deal.
I entered the restaurant, there were not many people in the area and I took the table in the corner and went to it. I think the couple hasn't arrived yet.
I ordered a juice and started sipping on it, scrolling my phone, and fortunately or unfortunately I have been following Korean news and the first thing I saw in the news is the image of my baby daddy coming out of the hotel with a lady beside him.
I choked on my juice and started coughing badly. I think it's just a one-night stand for him and he has already moved on.
" Hello, are you Miss Francis?" I heard someone call my name and I was brought back from the thoughts which will eat me away.
" Uh! Umm, yes I am." I awkwardly said getting up from my chair to meet the couple standing in front of me with big grins.
Whatever positivity I had gained got lost in a second due to a picture on the internet. It's not like he will wait for me or something. We are not even something to be with, I'm just a big fool dreaming about a happy family with him? Ugh, what's wrong with me? I was so fine before meeting him not believing in anything. Just one night changed everything but no it's time to create much higher walls around me.
My thoughts were cut down by someone clearing their throat.
" I'm so sorry, I was just zoned out thinking about work." I apologized, giving them a small awkward smile and gesturing to them to take their seats.
" It's okay I understand and by the way I am Joon-Jae and this is my Fiance Isabella." I didn't notice before but he is Asian and maybe he is also from Korea! Ugh, I think I need to stop thinking about him.
" Yes, you are right. He is from Korea." Isabella laughed at my wide eyes.
" I am sorry iam talking my thoughts out and I mean no harm, I just know someone who is also from Korea," I explained myself before they misunderstood.
" We get it, don't worry." Mr.Joon said, signaling the waiter.
" So, can we start?" I asked before bringing out my notepad to start the discussion.
" Yes, sure." They both said in unison.
I hope nothing comes between my work and particularly some hot and handsome Korean baby daddy.
