Chapter 1 - 1 Metal Galaxy

"No one knows that one is playing with fate. Being a Crossbreed with immortal powers in a mortal body is a curse. Even if the Crossbreed herself solves the problem, the Metal Galaxy will be in trouble, and she will die from running out of antimatter energy. It feels good watching them destroy each other."

In a parallel world, there was a spiral galaxy where every planet had life, the Metal Galaxy. The living people there looked like humans but were immortals. They stopped growing when they hit thirty years old. They didn't die until something like an accident stopped their own heart. These immortals, Type IV beings on the Kardashev Scale, could travel between galaxies using a hidden wormhole. They used an Interplanetary Train or transformed into a small star to travel through space at speeds exceeding Tachyon.

There was a central solar system in Metal Galaxy, the Goldinian Solar System, with Goldinian as the main star and six surrounding planets: Palladina, Halida, Ruthenia, Osmia, and Diamona. Each planet's residents could control different cosmic energies.

Planet Palladinas was the guardian of the galaxy and held the ability to use cosmic weapons made of light energy. The ladies there could perform Healing Renovatio, which healed injuries for immortals. Planet Halida, who was Palladina's ally, could manipulate the energy of stars, thus becoming a significant cosmic force. Those two planets nearest Goldinian Main Star had thick atmospheres that guard them from radiation and heat. Planet Ruthenia, Osmia, and Diamona were far from these planets. However, those three planet's residents could use cosmic energy from comets, asteroids, and meteors as they crossed their paths to gain power.

Meanwhile, at the far end of Goldinian Solar System was one more planet known as Planet Silverian, far from Planet Osmia. It was barren, dark, and had stopped rotating on its axis for over forty years, with few people living there due to lack of cosmic energy. This planet, too, had been exiled from other immortals.

One afternoon on Planet Silverian, an immortal man, Flerix, who still looked young despite approaching sixty, was laid down on a field with dry, hard, and cracked ground. The man's skin was pale, even though his black shirt and brown pants, which he had worn for years, had lost their color.

He gazed at the dark sky with his two black eyes while a strong wind sometimes tousled his gray hair. Annoyed at the sight, he grumbled, "Wow, this is dull! This field used to be so lush! The green grass has turned black and withered, and the tall trees no longer thrive! Good times, weren't they?"

Suddenly, Flerix frowned and said to himself, "I don't get it. Why do we have to suffer this unjust punishment? And to make matters worse, those foolish Silverians are accepting their deaths one by one, slowly!"

He stood straight, clenched his right fist, looked ahead, and declared, "If no one else is willing to take action, then I will! I will find a way to avenge all those who have made us what it is!"

However, Flerix sighed, looking around and stretching his arms. Suddenly, the young man's face fell.

"They're so strong, and I'm completely powerless. I don't have cosmic power, money, or even cosmic energy to fight against those Palladinas! Ugh! My last meal, five years ago, was just some dried grass I picked in this barren field. Since they destroyed our moons, I can't recharge my cosmic energy!" Flerix yelled, holding his head in despair.

He paused, imagining the Silverians he knew fighting over something, then looked down and muttered, "Some people have already moved to other planets, using the Interplanetary Trains that were still here. Insolent indeed, that traitorous noble! There is no technology for cooking or genetic engineering for farming here, all because of those damn Palladinas!"

All of a sudden, a woman walked up to Flerix, then stood behind the young man and whispered, "Isn't it unpleasant to be bullied by other immortals for decades, even accused of stealing cosmic energy, victimized, and not accepted by any planet? Look at this planet. There are no more doctors or nurses to take cells from a couple, determine the sex of their future child, and put it into a Wormbye, so this planet is underpopulated."

Flerix turned around immediately and looked at the woman with a frown. The black hair and eyes, as well as her clothes and pants of the same color, down to the black high-heeled shoes the woman wore, made the young man startle to the point of staring.

"Who are you? Why are you here? This planet's atmosphere is pitch black and buffeted with strong winds, so no one would want to visit. You appear to be a noble from another planet. It's bold of you to come here," Flerix stated with suspicion.

The woman responded with a sarcastic smile and said, "It's an unjust punishment, don't you think?" They destroyed the moons of this planet and claimed that only Planet Palladina has the right to possess light energy. You wanted to seek revenge against them. However, you no longer hold any cosmic powers. What a pity."

Flerix still looked doubtful and asked curiously, "So, are you a Silverian residing on a different planet and visiting here only to tell me this?"

The woman chuckled briefly, then reached into her left pants pocket, took out a black pill, and handed it to Flerix.

"What is it?" asked the curious young man.

"It's pure dark energy. Nobody wants to control it due to its immense power. It also dominates around seventy percent of the universe. It cannot be destroyed unless there's another cosmic energy equally strong. Unfortunately, only a Crossbreed can hold and control that much cosmic energy. However, no Crossbreed has ever been born in this galaxy. So, take it," the woman said with a sly smile, moving her hand closer to the young man.

Flerix shook his head and looked at her with annoyance.
