Raya and Rihanna were playing in the garden when they heard a loud voice from they're father who happened to be in an argument with their mother , immediately Raya turned to Rihanna,seeing her eyes getting watery she grabbed her and took her to a nearby playground for the both of them to stay while their parents sort out their misunderstandings.
Later that evening Raya and Rihanna came back home after Raya had cheered Rihanna up and they played for a little while before returning, opening the door the two sisters eyes widened at the sight of their living room, there where shards of glass everywhere, their little tv broken, the whole house was turned upside down. The two children knew their parents always fought and that they're father would even hit their mother at times and things would break but they had never imagined that there would be this much damage. Raya looked around to see if she could see any of her parents,she scanned the living room and was shocked to see someone lying lifeless on the floor and it was no other but her mother Raya ran to where her mother was lying with the back of her head bleading, it looked her father had used something to hit her mother on the head. Immediately Raya grabbed her mother's phone from the counter and called an ambulance, in less than fifteen minutes the ambulance arrived and took the two sisters and their mother to the hospital.
After they had gotten to the hospital their mother was rushed into the ICU for an operation and soon after the police arrived to take the children's statement. Raya was only 12 and her sister was 6 ,Raya is the smartest in her class and she had taken summer classes on emergency management when she was 10, so she knew what to do when she saw her mother wounded on the floor, Raya was very scared but she knew she had to be strong for her sister. The police officer asked Raya for her statement since Rihanna was too little to be asked any serious questions. Raya told the police officer everything that had happened and he assured her that everything would be alright, which gave Raya a sense of relief.
20 minutes later...
The doctor had come out of the ICU and Raya quickly ran to him "Hello doctor, please will my mother be alright?" She said with a worried look and the doctor was quiet for a second thinking if he should tell the little girl or not then he spoke "umm ...your mother's head got damaged very severely and we tried our best but... I'm sorry we couldn't save her". Raya heard this and fell to the ground and began to cry , Rihanna heard this and fainted. "Rihanna!" Shouted Raya.
