Following the cardiac arrest, Mr. DelaRoy has not been able to regain consciousness. The doctor believes he can stay in a coma for several weeks or possibly enter a vegetative condition permanently. Cali and Susie are required to spend most of their time at the hospital to be there if Mr. DelaRoy wakes up.
