Chapter 11 - Chapter Four: Drowned Baby

After visiting PP stores,

My husband came in tiredly and drunk. He had returned from his business trip quite faster than I expected.

Jeff's aura was like a dark cloud that surrounds a peaceful environment.

"Welcome back," I said to him as he sat down.

He freed his tie and said, "What? Why the look? You didn't expect I'd come now?"

I was dressed in a white poka dot dress with flattened collar and an apron design, equally dressed in a white scarf.

Jeffery was drunk. Really drunk. I could tell that by his blasting smell and his weird act. He ate a stake from the plate in front of him and the look in his eyes are likened to that of a monster.

"It seems my partner doesn't want business with me." He then threw his plate away and the ceramic shatters against the ground arousing fright in me.

I saw Jeff burry his head in his arm and wept into the table. For a moment I thought he looked like a child; some one with innocence and I went on to comfort him.

"Oh, Jeff. It's alright," I embrace him from behind and he had his head burried in his hand on the table.

"It's all your fault! Eversince I got married to you it's been one problem to the other. You don't even work hard as you use to and I think you'll soon wash away. I'll teach you a lesson."

"Noo.."

No need to describe further. I ran away from home after the usual with a scarf tied round my head thinking to die, but here I am in the water with a stranger.

"Are you mad?!" I bellow at Renold, trying to maintain balance in the water with my hands. I am struggling to swim and equally gasping for air.

"I thought you wanted to jump!"

"Me? You were the one that pushed me. Argh!"

"I-I'm sorry." He comes to hold me from behind and I stare into his sterling grey eyes. Renold holds closer to me and the water makes everything seem better.

I disconnect suddenly.

"What are you doing?" Renold tries paddling his way to me. "You're gonna drown."

"Leave me alone."
