Adam Jones answered seriously, yet Elly Campbell got goosebumps listening to him.
She really wasn't suited to sweet talk.
"Alright, enough with the nonsense, get to bed and lie down."
She stepped out of Adam's embrace, urging him toward the bedside.
At this moment, Adam didn't dare go against his wife's wishes and immediately turned to walk towards the large bed inside the room.
Just then, the nurse came over with anti-inflammatory medication to get him hooked up and carefully instructed him before leaving.
"You rest up. I'll stay here with you."
Elly sat down beside Adam but was pulled by him onto the bed as he said,
"It's late now, you should lie down and rest too. Once the IV is done, the nurse will come and remove it."
