"Elly."
She tried to walk towards Elly Campbell, but Harry Hall held her back, immobilizing her.
"Let go of me!"
Harry Hall completely ignored the anger on her face and walked up to Elly Campbell, "How is Adam doing?"
"He's sleeping."
Elly Campbell glanced towards the direction of the hospital room, "Since you're here, I'll leave first."
She felt her previously resolute heart beginning to waver, a sense of panic rising within her, she needed to go back and sort out her emotions properly.
"Adam doesn't need me."
Harry Hall spoke, his gaze locking onto Elly Campbell's eyes, "Do you really think Adam has no feelings for you?"
Elly Campbell was taken aback. If it had been before, she might have been able to answer confidently, but these recent days, she wasn't so obtuse as to be unable to feel anything.
Especially just now in the hospital room, when she heard Adam's remorse, and the day he didn't hesitate to take that hit for her, those were things she couldn't ignore.
