Elly Campbell looked at the fury in his eyes and smiled sarcastically, "You go to such great lengths to ruin my plans, I never realized how much you actually hate me."
"Your plans?"
Adam's hoarse voice erupted with a furious blaze.
"Sneaking around behind your husband to meet another man's parents, is that what you call 'plans'?"
He gripped Elly's chin, his fingertips tightening with anger, "Elly, we aren't even divorced yet, and you're so eager?"
"Yes, why would I want a divorce if I weren't in a hurry?"
Elly played along with his line of thought, shrugged off Adam's hand from her chin, and stood with her arms crossed, facing him.
"President Jones, it seems you've forgotten something."
Her sudden statement made Adam pause, unsure of what she was referring to.
