Chapter 11 - 011. The illegitimate daughter borne by the biological father outside the relationship_1

He took the hand of the girl next to him, a look of discomfort on his face as he turned to Elly Campbell, "Elly, this is your sister, Sophie, who is two months younger than you."

Sister?

Elly Campbell's indifferent expression finally showed a trace of change.

She had long known that James Campbell had kept a mistress outside, and that mistress had given birth to a daughter, but James had never dared to bring her home.

What was he trying to do now?

Was he planning to publicly acknowledge the illegitimate daughter's identity?

"Is CEO Campbell mistaken? I don't recall my mother having any children other than me. Where did you find this random girl? I've only just returned to the country, and you're already bringing such an annoyance to irritate me. Are you doing this on purpose?"

Adam Jones had parked Elly Campbell's car for her, and the moment he stepped into the South Garden Hotel, he caught her spiteful words in his ears, a flash of surprise appearing in his eyes.

However, he quickly suppressed his surprise. From the moment he had seen Elly Campbell at the entrance to the operating theatre that day, he knew that his understanding of her had been off from the very beginning.

The waiter saw him come in and immediately came forward to greet him, "President Jones..."

Adam Jones quietly shook his head, his gaze continuing to rest on Elly Campbell. He had never seen the Elly who was always so well-behaved in front of him, speak so harshly.

No, how could he forget that a woman capable of that kind of deed could really be as docile as he had perceived?

Even though he knew she had been pretending all along in front of him, subconsciously, he had truly believed she genuinely loved him.

He wasn't in a hurry to approach, instead, he chose to sit at a table on the side, his deep eyes, with an inexplicable depth, lingering on Elly Campbell's face.

James Campbell's face turned beet red from Elly's unapologetically sharp words, "Sophie is my daughter, so of course, she is your sister."

His presumptuous adamancy amused Elly Campbell, her eyebrows arching in a taunting manner, revealing a seductive charm.

"The illegitimate daughter deserves to be called my sister? James Campbell, can you not degrade my status?"

As Elly spoke, she completely ignored the girl beside her, as if she should be invisible.

Even with James Campbell present, Elly Campbell's presence easily controlled the room.

James's complexion turned instantly dark. He had tolerated being called CEO Campbell, but now she was directly addressing him by his name—did she no longer see him as her father?

He was, after all, the Chairman of the Campbell Corporation. Being mocked like this by his daughter, where could he put his face, especially in front of his youngest and most beloved daughter?

The atmosphere was tense, and Adam Jones's brows twitched slightly. He finally stood up and started walking towards them.

"Sophie."

Upon hearing his voice, the girl next to James couldn't hide her surprise, and then, as if seizing a lifeline, she quickly turned her head, her beautiful eyes shining with bright, sparkling light.

"Adam, what are you doing here?"

Adam Jones did not answer but turned his gaze from Elly's puzzled eyes to James, "Dad."

He slightly lowered his eyes and greeted in a deep voice, his demeanor lacking any extra warmth, more like a distant outsider.

James had not expected Adam Jones to appear with Elly, nor that his youngest daughter would know Adam. And from the way they addressed each other, their relationship seemed deep.
