Chapter 6 - Mistake

Seeing the mangled zombie body on the landing, this thought instantly flashed through his mind.

But upon closer inspection, it was quickly refuted.

The zombie's death did not look like it was at the hands of a human, but rather torn to pieces by some kind of monster.

On the entrance door on one side there were traces of claws left.

It created the impression that another beast or monster had been in the building.

"Unlucky!" - Wu Hen swore again.

Yesterday the door to the building was left open, and today an unknown monster appeared.

In half the cases, his squad was the strongest.

*Rattles-Rattles-Rattles!*

Suddenly the stair railings shook from a strong jolt.

The sound quickly spread throughout the building.

It seemed that something was beating the stair railings below.

A feeling of tension arose again in Wu Hen's heart.

Gripping the weapon tightly in his hand, he whispered: "Let's go, let's go downstairs."

Wu Hen walked in the middle, and they all went towards the stairs together.

Together they went to the stairs.

The sound of the skeleton's paws hitting the ground was drowned out by the loud blow of the iron rods.

There were no enemies...

Continuing to go downstairs, they found several more twisted, torn limbs of zombies everywhere.

Wu Hen did not use the Bone Service technique, but decided to take a look at what was downstairs first.

Going down to the fourth floor, you could hear that what had hit the grille was downstairs.

Moving the racks with skeletons, he approached and looked towards the three lower floors.

A light-haired lioness zombie with spotted fur, embracing the iron railings with her front paws, was vigorously rocking back and forth.

She, like an overheated beast, was unleashing her excess energy on the iron railings.

"What the?"

"Can animals be infected too?"

Moreover, how could a lion appear in the building?

Wu Hen looked down in surprise.

The lion, who was energetically rocking back and forth, also stopped his movements and turned his head.

Sharp fangs were visible on the wrinkled lips, and shreds of meat hung from the corners of his mouth.

It was not a lion...

It was a plush toy.

Only its size had increased several times, and by its yellow fur it differed little from a lion.

The zombie "he" still can't change his habit of rocking back and forth.

*Roar!*

The zombie Teddy roared and ran straight upstairs.

After realizing it was Teddy, the tension in his heart decreased significantly.

Seeing that the zombie Teddy was about to pounce on him, Wu Hen took two steps back and ordered: "Kill him."

*Boom!*

The skeletal soldiers, raising their swords, rushed forward.

The zombie Teddy rushed forward, his legs furiously stomping, and his body jumped up, climbing up the wall to gain strength, and jumped over the skeletons rushing below.

In one step he fell onto the corner platform.

Waving his claws, Teddy flung away several skeletons blocking his way, opened his huge maw, sank his teeth into a skeleton's skull and furiously flung it away.

The powerful body raced along the platform, knocking down skeletal warriors and rolling down the steps.

Then Teddy lifted his head and looked at Wu Hen standing behind.

The figure jumped to its feet again and rushed to run.

Wu Hen's face changed, the round shield in his hand was raised diagonally upwards, and the next moment he felt a huge force hit the shield, and his body flew back uncontrollably.

He hit the wall behind him, then rolled down the stairs one step, his helmet clinking on the steps.

The zombie Teddy still wanted to attack again, but an iron sword fell on his head, stopping the movement.

At the same time, the surrounding skeletons also reacted in time: four or five skeletons pounced on Teddy and held his body in a death grip, and even more skeletons waved kitchen knives to kill him.

No matter which part of the body they hit, they chopped indiscriminately, hair, flesh and blood continued to fall.

The stuffed lion, resembling a real lion, began to writhe like a sticky rice ball hung with white bones.

Wu Hen quickly got to his feet and adjusted his helmet.

Stretching out his hand, he immediately detached several skeletons and secured himself again, standing behind them.

*Bang*

*Boom!*

The zombie Teddy crashed into the wall, the strong collision scattered the skeletons hanging on his body.

Immediately after that, the figure jumped to its feet again.

"Damn it!" Wu Hen swore, his body quickly dodged to the side, and his legs gave way.

Training with a short spear did pay off after all.

The iron spear struck Teddy in the chest, and the blade of the spear did not penetrate the rotting body.

At the same time, the effort was transmitted to the wrist, and the iron spear was released.

Teddy landed lightly on the ground, and the iron spear, still stuck in his chest, slapped to the ground and pierced his body with a crash, going through the left front paw.

Dark red sticky blood flowed from the wound.

Wu Hen's body jumped back a whole step and continued: "Don't stop, get up and kill him."

The skeletal warriors rushed at him again.

The damaged body could not inflict fatal damage to the zombie Teddy, but the iron spear that pierced the front paw from the chest still hampered his movement.

The left front paw could not support his body, and he moved with a limp.

While Teddy's movements slowed, the skeletal warriors' attacks became more and more fierce.

From the relentless siege and powerful blows, his body was covered with puncture wounds.

When the whole body was drowned in skeletons and the sound of chopping meat joined in, a system message followed.

[Experience gained +42].

[Skeletal warrior, experience +20].

Wu Hen took off his helmet, ignoring the rotten air, and sighed heavily.

How could he expect a plush toy to turn into what it is now?

Genetic mutation or some kind of rejuvenation evolution?

That's how they wrote it in novels, but he wasn't sure it was either.

Whatever the case, Teddy had turned into a lion.

He was also locked in the building, otherwise such a large size would have burst out and started flailing wildly, I don't know how many species would be unlucky.

The combat power of the zombie Teddy definitely exceeded the capabilities of an ordinary zombie.

The worst thing was that he had a certain intellect.

Otherwise, he would not have rushed one after the other.

If zombies possessed intelligence, then they would not be called zombies, or it would be a new intelligent creature.

He couldn't think about it.

But he was not satisfied with this result.

This battle also reminded him of this.

Accumulating the number of skeletons, he must improve himself, otherwise, if he himself is killed, then a large number of skeletons will be of little use.

Catching his breath, he stepped forward and pulled out the iron spear that had pierced Teddy.

Releasing the "Bone Service Technique".

The skeleton of a large beast was still something interesting.

[The summoned object exceeds the necromancer's ability range].

As soon as the bone service technique was released, immediately after that a prompt appeared.

Wu Hen did not have time to react in time and felt that his spiritual power was rapidly exhausted.

This made his face change.

However, the zombie Teddy standing in front of him required even more spiritual energy expenditure, and the instability of the replica made him a little worried.

It's not worth summoning him and then attacking himself.

That would be very bad.

Soon the corpse of Teddy in front of him changed.

Flesh and blood melted away like hot wax, and from them slowly rose a fanged skeleton.

The ghostly white skeleton became even thicker, and strange ghostly blue flames lit up in its empty eye sockets.
