"If their bloodlines were not dormant, I and Cass wouldn't have been born because of their conflicting nature. On the bright side, we have perfectly inherited both bloodlines from our parents, without diminishing their purity."
Katherine and Alexi took some time to process this information.
"There are many Angel and Demon subspecies. Whose bloodlines do you have? How do you know all this? And don't you dare say that everything will become clear in the end."
"Calm down. I was just coming to that. We both have the bloodlines of Ash Demons and Sol Angels. As to ho-"
Zeke was interrupted by Katherine shouting, "YOU WHAT? Ash Demons and Sol Angels, as in the races of the Demon Emperor of Ash and the Sol Throne?"
"Yes."
"Do you know what would happen if the military knew about this? What would happen if the Ash Demons and Sol Angels knew about you?"
Alexi wanted to calm Katherine down but he was just as worried if not more. He knew how the military worked and they would not let go of any potential threat even if they were children.
"Calm the hell down and let me finish." Katherine and Alexi suddenly paused. Zeke realized that he had spoken out of bounds. These two loved him and Cass to the point that they wouldn't hesitate to lay down their lives for them and deserved their respect.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spoken like that. But you have to stop interrupting and listen. I know how big of a target would be put on our backs if any of these forces knew about us. Fortunately, I have a solution for that.
If I succeed, even Demons and Angels wouldn't be able to recognise their bloodlines inside us let alone the military.
I have a big secret that I haven't told anyone, not even Cass. It all started after Mom and Dad died. I started having these dreams or were they nightmares, I'm not sure. The point is, I dreamt of another me. This other me had the same life as mine. I saw his complete life up to the moment he died.
In the beginning, the dreams were incoherent, and I'd forget about them the next morning. Then I started remembering small details. As time passed, I started remembering more and more. Yesterday, I remembered everything.
In my dreams, I was the Head of the Federation Institute of Research. 150 years later, the Earth Federation lost the war and Oberon personally killed all of us. The other me watched him doing that.
At first, I wasn't sure if the dreams and the life I saw were true or not. But then, I was horrified to discover that they were the same as real life. I already knew that Uncle Alexi would be visiting today.
That is also why I trusted him, a man that I'm not supposed to know at all and you with this. I need your help. The other me created an Ex Grade elixir that could fuse our three bloodlines; Angel, Demon, and Neo-Human together into a new one for Cass's children
The other Cass was an SS Grade when he died, and that was when he had so much untapped potential. If he had this potion at the right time, he could have become the Supreme Commander of the Earth Federation. These bloodlines can only be awakened and fused before we unlock the System if we want the best results.
And before that, we need to condition our bodies, so that we can survive the process. So, will you guys help?"
Katherine and Alexi sat down and poured themselves a drink. They could see the raw emotion in Zeke's eyes and knew that he wasn't lying. It seemed to them as if they had no other choice but to support him in his endeavour to save the Earth Federation.
[And thus began my journey as the God of Bullshitting. Just kidding. I couldn't exactly tell them that I had regressed so I did what I had to.]
Katherine let out a sigh of defeat and said, "What do you need? We'll try to help to the best of our abilities."
"As I told you guys before, I and Cass need to condition our bodies before we can consume the elixir. To do that we have to drink blood and bone soup for at least a year."
"Blood and bone soup?"
"It's the refined blood and bones of Lvl.50 monster beasts with Fire, Light, Life, Shadow, and Soul affinities boiled together then strained. Each affinity needs to be from a different monster beast.
The leftover bones will be crushed into a fine powder and compressed into pills. We also need to take those pills every day."
Alexi looked at him, deep in thought. They did something similar in the army for recruits but not to this extent. He knew that it worked best when the consumer was physically exhausted so he decided that he would oversee their training for the next three years.
He said, "I can easily hunt the monster beasts myself. What else do you need? The materials for an EX Grade will most definitely be hard to find."
Zeke smiled mysteriously and Katherine and Alexi knew that he was going to give them a big shock again.
"That's the thing. They are relatively easy to find. One of the main reasons the other me took a whole 20 years to create the elixir was because he hadn't expected that he would only need three E Grade ingredients for it. It was a new technique even for him that allowed him to brew the elixir.
Unlike usual potions and elixirs, this elixir doesn't use a single herb or plant. I only need two Lvl.100 Ash Demons, two Lvl.100 Sol Angels, and two Lvl.100 Null Slimes. And they need to be alive.
It's not the ingredients I'm worried about. To brew the elixir I need at least an S Grade chemistry lab. But that's for way later. Before that, I need to get used to brewing potions without the help of skills or any mana of my own. That is I wanted to use the school's chemistry lab. For practice."
"Screw that. You need a personal lab. We can get one built but an S Grade lab will cost a lot and we don't have that kind of capital. Also, labs of A Grade and higher are highly regulated. We would need Contribution Points just to redeem the right to own one.
The both of them had a sulking expression. Alexi looked at them as if they were both idiots.
"Are you guys serious right now?"
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, for a bunch of scientists, you both are pretty dumb."
He looked at Zeke and said, "Your other self created how many original EX Grade elixirs?"
"Um, nineteen."
"Damn, nineteen? Your other self was a genius. And how many potion recipes?"
"I'm honestly not sure. There were too many to count. Wait a minute." The gears in Zeke's brain began turning. He looked at the smiling Alexi and said, "Are you saying what I think you're saying? Oh, you devious devious man. You're planning on sucking them dry, aren't you, you capitalist son of-cough cough? Sorry, old habits die hard. It's just a side effect of the memories."
Katherine glared at Zeke, "Language young man. I don't care if the memories are affecting you but if you cuss one more time, I will whoop your bottom." Then she looked at Alexi and said, "Explain."
Alexi subconsciously answered, "Yes ma'am." Then he saw Zeke giving him a weird look. He coughed and answered, "Well, it's fairly easy. I'm pretty sure that he must have created many revolutionary recipes if he was able to become the Head of the Earth Federation Institute of Research.
First, we register a pharmaceutical company. Then, we take some of his F-D Grade potion recipes that the military would want and get a patent for them. Then we choose some core ingredients and control their supply. Finally, we sell those patents to the military.
In this way, we create the demand and control the supply. There is no actual need to go that far right now, but I have a feeling that we will in the future."
"But isn't that dangerous, clashing with the military like that?"
"Usually it would be but we have enough merits in our names that they won't bother us over a few patents. Even if they do, we can just sell those plantations and start over."
Zeke ran to his, got a notepad and began writing three recipes that the military would want. They were, Breath of Poison Resistance, Breath of Speed, and Breath of Strength. The Breath Series marked the beginning of his rise in his past life. He had utilised ingredients that were considered relatively useless and turned them into incredible potions.
There were 15 auxiliary potions in it, all with recipes of F-D Grades. He just wrote three of them because he thought that they would be enough for their current needs. He returned downstairs and handed the recipes to Katherine.
When she read them, she started shaking. She looked at Zeke, and asked, "You're not joking, are you? These can't be true."
"But they are."
"What about the side effects?"
"Close to none. Just a little physical exhaustion."
"You are a goddamn genius. We only need to control the supply of Azure Grass for all of them. The flowers are the core ingredient for Breath of Poison Resistance, the leaves for Breath of Speed and the roots for Breath of Strength."
"Pro tip, save the stems. They are needed for another recipe in the Breath Series." Zeke reminded her.
Katherine took deep breaths to calm herself down. Azure Grass was only known for a cheap beauty cream made from its stems. It was a frigging miracle plant.
"Hey Alexi, how many credits do you have saved up?"
"Wait, let me check." He opened his phone and after two minutes he said, "I can use about 150 million. What about you?"
She smirked and said, "300 million."
"Damn. Is it just you or are all scientists this rich? But with a total of 450 million credits, we should able to buy out all suppliers of Azure Grass and then some. There are only a few plantations that we would need to buy.
Let us keep 100 million separate for infrastructure costs, employment, and advertisement. We'll register the company online tomorrow. What do you think we should name it?"
At this moment Zeke said, "If it's fine with you, I would like to name it-"
