(Sometime before the tragedy occurred)
(Shironuma) Thinking) Man, living on the outskirts of town sucks. There's no internet connection out here and we only get a couple of channels on tv. I also feel like I watched all the mystery shows I could. I wish something exciting happens or I might die of boredom.
(As Shironuma was flipping through the channels, the television screen cut to black. Then in that split second the news popped up.)
(Shironuma) Thinking) What just happened? Is an emergency announcement, the same ones dad told me about. Maybe I should go tell him.
(He ran out to the kitchen and told his parents about the emergency announcement. They ran past him and headed straight for the living room.)
(Shironuma) Thinking) What was that about? I know it's an emergency but the look on their faces was very eerie.)
(Shironuma went into the living room and from there the world he once knew, faded away. The news reporter left them with this message.)
(News Reporter (Ray Campbell) The world is ending and restarting anew. This apocalypse will only welcome Hybrids of the new world. Everyone will perish, as was decided by the Union.
(The news reporter began to shed tears and ended his message.)
(News Reporter (Ray Campbell) I didn't want to do this, they...
(Before the broadcast ended, the news reporter who was in this blank white room stepped back as if he was frightened of something.)
(Clyde Doyle (Dad) Son pack everything that's important and special to you. We have to hurry.
(Shironuma) Dad but wha...
(Kaede Doyle (Mom) Just do as your father says. We don't have time to ponder about this.
(Clyde) I promise I'll tell you about it later.
(Shironuma nods his head and left to gather his belongings. He came back carrying a few books a bookbag. They left in a car and rode farther from the small town of Texas, then gravitated towards the west.)
(Shironuma) Dad where are we going? If were really in trouble as the news reporter says, shouldn't we be going towards the town for shelter?
(Clyde) Under normal circumstances that would be the correct thing to do. Although every place on this planet isn't safe anymore. You do remember what the reporter said right "The world would only welcome the Hybrids."
 (Shironuma) Hybrids?
(Kaede) Yes, Hybrids are the new generation that has only accepted people who were born within the last twenty years. From there it also gets rid of everyone who has no talents and below average intelligence.
(Clyde) I know it's quite sad, even your mom and I aren't Hybrids but hopefully you'll be okay.
(Shironuma) That means...
(Clyde) Yeah we'll also be leaving this world soon.
(Shironuma lost his composure began to weep intensely)
(Shironuma) Why?! Why, who gets to decide that?! Why is this happening?
(Kaede) That fault lies with us, son. We should have told you sooner but you're still so young.
(Kaede also begins to weep in sorrow)
(Kaede) I'm so sorry you have to go through this alone.
(Clyde) It was twelve years ago, your mother and I was called in by the Union to create a serum for disease that was said to be uncurable. Well really it wasn't a serum more like a program than anything.
From reprogramming the brain functions to fixing any heath conditions, a perfect antidote. At least that's what it should have been.
(Shironuma (Thinking) So it was them! Even though my parents helped them, they're taking my mom and dad from. I'll get rid of them all!
(Clyde) Hey, son I know that look on your face. Now remove it. I know it's hard to take this all in but even if they're bad people they still helped save you.
(Shironuma (Sobbing) W...what do you mean?
(Clyde) Eleven years ago the day you were born, you were diagnosed with that same unknown disease. Your mother and I had no other choice but to use it on you. This serum we made will disperse throughout the body and brain by using nano machines.
I guess somehow they change the properties of the antidote and made it into a virus instead of a cure.
(Shironuma) Is this really happening and why would I be safe?!
(Kaede) Calm down Shiro. I know it's hard but you'll have to hear all of this. Some day this information will end up saving you.
(Clyde) You share the same coding as the nano machines. We also made them for three other kids your age.
(Shironuma) Why didn't you guys make any for yourselves. Also if they can change the nano machine's properties then wouldn't they be able to control everyone else too.
(Clyde) Well for your first question, we've tried to but failed. After they kicked us out from the Union, we didn't have any funds to make any more.
(Kaede) For the next question, Absolutely. Although it would still take them some time to reconstruct the coding. They'll have to wait until the activation of the Guilty Catalyst.
We've wrote everything you'll need to know about that machine. If they're able to modify the nano machines in their bodies then they will be the victors, that would be true if didn't have you.
(Clyde) we're here.
(As Shironuma got out the car, his legs became stiff yet weak. He was trembling knowing that this might be the end for his family and this world.
As he followed his and parents, that feeling began to stir up more and more. After passing through some trees and walking about fifty meters, they stopped at a latch on the ground.)
(Clyde) Son there is a way to bring everyone back but it's an awfully dangerous road. As we've said before the notes about everything is down there.
(Kaede) Honestly, I for one don't wanna see you live your life in hardship because of mistakes we've made in the past.
(Clyde opens the latch and as Shironuma walked in, the latch closed. As the light faded away. Shironuma knew that the time was near. He turns to latch and immediately runs to it.)
(Shironuma) Mom, Dad please don't leave yet! I'm sorry, I can't do this alone! Please! Mom! Dad!
(Shironuma had forcefully stopped himself as he heard a faint noise. It was his mother crying. Even through the steel latch he heard his mother crying. Shironuma was stunned by hearing this.
Although for a second he thought about what his dad would say at this moment. So he wiped his tears and shouted from the bottom of his lungs.)
(Shironuma) I love you! I promise I'll a find a way to live a wonderful life and get everyone back! Even if you don't want me to, I'll keep at it no matter how hard or long it takes!
(Their time in this was fading so they him with these final words)
(Clyde) Our time has come Shironuma but I want you to know....
(Clyde and Kaede) We both love you too!
(In a flash, everyone in the world who wasn't a hybrid vanished. The ground under Shironuma's feet began to quake. The explosions echoed even through the underground.
Shironuma felt as if the latch wouldn't be able hold itself up, so he ventured further underground. He was surrounded by darkness and took each step one at a time.
Until finally he reached the bottom. Their was a keypad, a lantern, and a thick steel door.)
(Shironuma) What is this? Do I have to put in a passcode. Surely my parents forgot to mention it right?
(Shironuma walked back and forth until he noticed something.)
(Shironuma) I know dad and he would make this easy but also challenging. There's a keypad with numbers on it. If dad set this up, then he made the password to pretain to me in some form.
I don't think it's actually numbers though. There is eight slots for the pin. So maybe it's like a dial keypad, did he do to confuse everyone else. That would leave password now.
(He began to pace once again and he eventually stopped)
(Shironuma) I see now. Simple for me but hard for everyone else. So it'll be something I love. Well that'll be my family or mystery novels.
(At that moment, he instantly figured it out. He entered the following numbers on to keypad, 74375625.)
(Shironuma) Of course it was. Sherlock, the name of one favorite fictional characters and our family shares the same last name as him.
In all honesty I think I just wanted Sherlock Holmes to be the password in some way. Secondly, why does it feel like dad was peering into my brain just then. Also am I really that straightforward?
(Shironuma (Thinking) Now that I see all of this, my parents must've planned this out right after leaving the Union.
Why didn't they just spend some of this money on themselves for the serum or is there more that I'm not understanding. Either way I have to focus on getting them back.
(The thick door opened and the intense lights blinded him for a couple moments. After that he readjusted his eyes and saw...)
