As the moon rose high in the sky,Alexios mind was racing.Things did not looked good,120 or more pirates,would put his skill at test,Alexios was not certain if he managed to win."Even if we defeat them and take their coins still,i need full armor sets for hoplites,but how?,i don't remember asking blacksmith to make some,agh how the fuck i can forget such a thing!?".Alexios cursed while they were marching,eventually they arrived at the edge of the forest,where only 1 youth was waiting.
Alexios arrived confused,"where is the other one?",Alexios thought,but he noticed,spear Xiphon and shield laying on the ground beside a tree,then he saw that the youth slowly descend from the tree,he was scouting for sure."Alright now everyone listen up,you deserve some rest my fearless Spartans,so take some provisions and rest".Alexios commanded to his soldiers,Alexios saw pirate cove in the distance thanks to orange light that was trying to reach the sky.
"Campfires,so they are still awake,but still i hope i can buy from system some sets of armor,i don't think that pirates have armor in their stashes or anything".Alexios sat down and put his back against a tree and took of his Corinthian helmet.Alexios was pondering,cold breeze of wind cooling his head."I mean few thousands of drachmas is good but,what i could do with them?,i don't know how to upgrade buildings or if there is some system shop,(sigh) maybe i am gonna ask one of my hippeis,its worth a shot".
Speak of the devil two hippeis were heading towards him,one was holding a leather bag,in left hand.
"My king we have some bread,would you like some"?,Alexios only nodded,"i have question my hippeis,will be arriving any merchant next day who sell weapons?",Alexios said with slight desperation,he was sure no normal merchant of any kind would sell weapons or armor to Sparta,who is often depicted as warmonger's."No my king,no merchants who are selling weapons are expected".
"Fucking hell,the last thing that could bring me additional troops",Alexios was ready to give up,there is no way 100 Hoplites with 260 Youths would defeat army of 2,000 strong was impossible."However you,my king ordered a blacksmith to make full sets off armor and weapons for roughly 100 Hoplites,for the inevitable conflict with Korinthians".
"Wait...did i heard correctly? 100 hoplites?,thats..not bad but too little too late,well I must get to know all the plans of previous owner of this body just to be sure anything like this could be known beforehand".
Alexios was glad that 100 could be added to the army,but against 2,000 was too small,but at least his chance of success was slightly higher."Get some rest my loyal Hippeis,I have devised a plan for those filthy pirates,and thank you for the bread".Alexios said while starting to eat his loaf of bread,"understood my king" both of Hippeis said with synchronized voices and take a seat to the next tree,Well lets see my abilities.
Abilities:
Athena's Wisdom and Shield Techniques: (Level 1)

Sometimes anticipates and blocks a percentage of incoming attacks, showcasing Athena's Tactical prowess.(when in combat,every 20 attacks are predicted) after those attacks are predicted cool down is 15 hours.
"hmmm i think this will do,but i am real fool not to bring my shield.The another issue being how to,kill all of 120 pirates?".Alexios pondered as he finished his loaf of bread,"my brave youth,give me your report",Alexios ordered the one youth that was sitting and eating his bread,he quickly finished it and run to Alexios."My king A narrow, winding trail is leading to the cove with cliffs surroundings it,there is only one way in my king".
only one trail you say?,best course of action would be to wait.After everyone is asleep i can launch my night attack,but still 120 pirates the few things that are good about this is pirates are not disciplined nor army.Most of the time they are menacing in numbers,but their morale is nothing to write a song about.Will i managed to do it? i must be successful,no it will be success.

The moon was shining and everything was consumed by the night,Only crickets could be heard to break the silence."Time to strike" Alexios said as he put on his Corinthian helmet and stood up,he saw all of the Hoplites and youths were awake,sitting against a trees,rocks and so on.Alexios walked toward his small army,"warriors of Sparta the battle is upon us,lined up and await further orders".Right the second everyone quickly formed their formation,and even youths would assemble beside them,and Alexios hippeis would take their rightful position beside their king."Lets come take a closer look,and no make no noise,element of surprise is on our side if we do this right".
They come closer until they saw 2 pirates with spears guarding entrance,they were wearing black tunics and leather shoes.No helmet no shield,nothing."They are not well equipped,(no surprise) can both of you throw from this distance spear to pierce their hearts?",Alexios asked both of his hippeis."Certainly mi king,they never know what hit them".Answered one hippei with powerful release throw a The spear sailed through the darkness, its lethal intent evident as it closed the distance between the Hippei and his unsuspecting target. In an instant, the projectile found its mark, piercing the pirate's heart with a sickening thud. A gasp escaped the pirate's lips as he crumpled to the ground, his revelry abruptly extinguished.
Next spear followed shortly,thud was following seconds after the first victim.Nothing no sounds from cove,it looked like coast is clear."Lets move out,slowly",Alexios and his man approached the trail leading to pirate cove Hippeis pulled their spears back from the corpses with a hole in their left side of the chest where their hearts were.As they make their way,they reached the other side of the trail.
I doubt that we kill all of them silently,Alexios and his man expect Spartan youths were wearing heavy armor,so it was impossible for them to approach pirates close enough to slice their throats,So Alexios got an idea,if he shouted to begin massacre,the stats from his cape would stunned pirates.At least he tough, but it was worth a shot.
"Spartans listen up,maybe we are outnumbered but never outmatched kill every last of them,we shall show them a reason why Sparta is lasting this long",Alexios tried to motivate his troops,he could see some excitement,across the faces of his soldiers,finally some battle they thought.
"Remember no pirates,begin the attack",Alexios shouted from his mighty voice,they rushed to kill their first pirates,who where camped beside the entrance,few pirates who kept guard but too sleepy to properly fulfill their duties."SOUND THE ALARM!! WE ARE UNDER ATTA-",Cried one of patrolling pirate but too late to finished his sentenced,spear flew right in to his throat
Many Pirates near the entrance would be killed before they could do anything,blood was spilled on the sand and kept flowing with more and more dead pirates.Alexios was leading in the front and kept advancing further,as his Hoplites kept killing pirates from left and right leaving Alexios with 2 Hippeis and 4 Spartan youths.Small group of pirates were rushing toward Alexios and his men,in total of 15 Pirates rushed with spears,daggers,Xiphos,wearing headbands with skulls and no shield and armor expect a black tunic with leather shoes.
This will be Alexios first battle,and soon his first taste of blood,time to put his skill to use,"Form a line!!",Alexios shouted to his fellow hippeis and youths and taking step behind as to cover from the charge,as 15 pirates were quickly cutting the distance.Alexios first hand to hand combat begins now.
