As evening descended, Arthur settled into his living room while he waited for Liv's arrival, engrossed in a football match playing on the television. Time ticked by, and soon the doorbell rang. He sprang up from his seat with a smile, eager to greet Liv.
"Hey, Li…" His voice trailed off as his eyes fell upon Joanna, standing unexpectedly at his doorstep. "Jo... Joanna? You… you are here. How are you?… what are you doing here?" He asked, suddenly feeling uneasy while moving his eyes behind her to see if Liv had arrived.
"That's one hell of a question, Arthur, but you know what's even more pressing? What the fuck is this place? Why the hell do you have an apartment?!" Joanna interrogated him, barging into the house and scanning the surroundings suspiciously.
Arthur shrugged nonchalantly as she shut the door behind her. "I have an apartment. I live in an apartment. End of story."
