Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Xsmyv, with a heavy heart, left the hospital and headed to a nearby shop to gather her thoughts. The doctor's words had weighed on her mind - someone had been slowly poisoning her uncle, and his digestive system was severely damaged. Adequate care was needed, but first, he had to wake up before they could proceed with the necessary surgery.

She had saved up a considerable amount from the money her uncle had provided her throughout her university years, as well as the monetary awards she had received. Additionally, she had worked as a part-time replacement actress, singing behind the scenes while the actresses acted and lip-synced.

Xsmyv's exceptional beauty was undeniable and a characteristic that caught the eye of anyone who crossed her path. Her looks had indeed played a role in her part-time acting and singing career. In the industry, she was often called upon as a replacement for actresses who failed to show up for their shoots, and her talent and striking appearance made her a reliable choice for these last-minute situations.

Despite the opportunities that her beauty presented, Xsmyv had chosen to focus on her education and the gradual development of her talent before fully embracing the spotlight. She knew that the path to stardom wouldn't be easy, particularly given her seductive body structure, flawless skin, and stunning face.

She had encountered challenges along the way, with some producers making inappropriate requests in exchange for a major role. Yet, Xsmyv remained steadfast and determined to achieve success on her own terms, and her inner strength was as formidable as her external beauty.

Cecilia's call had provided a brief escape from Xsmyv's worries and thoughts. Her best friend's upbeat and comforting tone always had a way of lifting her spirits.

"Xsmyv, how is your uncle? I hope you did not meet the witches of Ligalia?" Cecilia's words brought a smile to Xsmyv's face.

As they conversed, Xsmyv shared her concerns about her uncle and the ongoing family feud.

"Cecilia, i am thinking of what to do; my uncle has done a lot for me. I don't want him to wake up and witness this constant feud I have with his family. I want him to wake up and be happy"

Cecilia raised the question "Are you going to leave the company your father kept for you? you are the rightful heir to De Richards Hotel. you promised your uncle that once you graduated, you would work in the company."

Cecilia, always the voice of support "Xsmyv, I know you've always wanted to be a top actress. You can do it all," Cecilia encouraged. "Who doesn't know that Xsmyv Richards is the master of all trades?"

Xsmyv was touched by her friend's encouraging words, feeling a sense of warmth and determination. However, she became so absorbed in the conversation that she didn't notice her surroundings. As she walked, lost in thought, she suddenly found herself in the middle of the street, narrowly avoiding a collision with a screeching car. Startled, Xsmyv screamed and fell to the ground in shock.

Bovi, the personal chauffeur of Jesse, rushed out of the driver's seat to assist Xsmyv. Concerned for her well-being, he bent down to offer his help; while Cecilia, who had heard the commotion over the phone, expressed her worry.

"Hello, Xsmyv, are you okay? Please talk to me," Cecilia urged.

Bovi also inquired, "You just walked right at us. I hope you didn't injure yourself?"

Xsmyv, feeling apologetic for her momentary lapse in attention, replied, "I am sorry." She tried to stand up, but her palm throbbed with pain. Upon closer inspection, she noticed that she had sustained bruises on her palm from the fall.

As Jesse sat in the backseat of the car, he watched the entire incident unfold before him. Something about the young lady seemed familiar. It didn't take long for him to recall that she was the final-year student from his alma mater who had presented the best business proposal in organizational crisis management. Jesse had been called by his mentor to serve as one of the panel judges for the graduating students' proposals, and he had agreed to participate while maintaining his anonymity.

With this realization, Jesse's interest in the situation heightened. He wondered how the promising student he had once judged was now entangled in an accident on the street.
