"Are you cold, princess?" Emirs asked Eleanor politely as they walked side by side down the desolate street of Dallies, their eyes scanning the surroundings with caution.
"No, thank you for asking," Eleanor replied, rolling her eyes.
As they turned a corner, a grand, yet ominous mansion came into view. Vampire guards stood like statues at every corner, surrounding the building. Amidst the bleak landscape, this mansion, despite its grim appearance, seemed to radiate a sense of life.
With full stealth, Eleanor and Emirs jumped onto the roof and slipped into a window, entering a vacant chamber.
Eleanor's heart pounded harshly in her chest, but as she glanced at Emirs, she saw the serious and determined look etched on his face.
