Summoning all her strength, Eleanor sprang from bed. Thea swiftly conjured a glowing green magic shield, dividing the room between them and Atlan.
Eleanor stood beside her, panting. "He's addicted to my blood. I must leave."
Thea glanced at the window, raising an eyebrow. "Jump?"
Eleanor shrugged. "I have wings too."
"Give it to me!" Atlan snarled, pounding the shield until it cracked, widening Thea's eyes in alarm.
"It won't hold! Go now!" She urged.
Eleanor sprinted to the window, flung it open, and leaped out. A bright, fiery glow bathed her body, and large, golden and white phoenix wings emerged from her back, beating powerfully.
Meanwhile, Atlan was enraged. He shattered the shield and lunged at Thea, but she swiftly escaped through the window. With a soft burst of light, her ethereal wings unfurled, carrying her to Eleanor's side.
