"You two went to the circus?!" Iris asked, shock and amusement dancing in her voice as she held Eleanor's hand while they strolled into the garden.
"Yes, we did. It was fun." Eleanor laughed, her face turning red as memories of the circus performance flooded her mind.
As they entered the maze, the little vampire princess beamed at her. "I'm sure it was."
Earlier, Iris had breakfast with Eleanor and Ares after failing to find Atlan. Now, with Ares still searching the mansion, they decided to search the maze.
"Maybe we shouldn't have stopped for breakfast," Iris said, pursing her lips. "He must have left the mansion."
"Indeed, he must have. Kaito's nowhere to be found either," Eleanor muttered, scanning the snow-covered hedge walls.
"That demon unsettles me." Iris shrugged, her face twisted in distaste. "Demons are dark, selfish creatures. They don't belong with vampires, but that demon always lurks around my brother. It unnerves me."
