"Shit! Are you saying she's a witch?" Zane asked in disbelief and Delilah nodded and returned the empty bottle to her bag.
"Yes, she will be up soon as I gave her the tonic of life meant for the witches. The wound is deep but she will heal herself once she's up. You don't have to worry about her safety, she will be fine." She assured the worried Beta who nodded and sighed.
"Thank you, I'll take responsibility when the Alpha returns."
"No, it's okay 'cause I won't say anything to him. You did nothing wrong as you were only trying to save her."
"She saved me first, I wouldn't be here talking to you if she didn't take that knife from that cursed Gareth." He hissed in anger and as much as she wished to probe further to ask him more questions but bowed in respect instead.
"I'll take my leave Beta, please treat yourself too. You're bleeding. I could do that if you don't mind."
