Right before his eyes, he saw his mate half naked, shaken with raw fear that made him growl. Her lips quaked terribly as she tripped and fell into his arms, he could hear her wild thumping heartbeat loudly beating and skittering and his brows raised in confusion when she kept looking back, her blue eyes looked teary as if she was running away from something and in as much as Cypher was dying to ask who the fuck was making her feel this way, who the hell was after her and why she was half naked outside the mansion, he kept quiet and scooped her from the floor.
She was alive and okay and that's what matters, and what made his shoulders sag in relief was the fact that she was running to the mansion and not away from the mansion.
Zane and the guards who were ready to evade the woods in the night sagged their shoulders in relief and watched Cypher take in Kaylan.
