Everything crashed to him in the space of a week and a few days. His men who died as a result of the Fae, his Priestess who was overpowered by a witch and his Beta who suddenly disappeared.
It pricked him hard from the depths of his heart that he could do nothing to bring them back immediately but he wasn't ready to let it go with the case of Zane, he was in a wreck and suddenly became cold.
Kaylan suffered from this effect, he would snap at her soothing words for him to be calm and apologise immediately and snapped at her again, only to tell her to stay away from him for a while.
That only dampened his mood as hell and hearing Sebastian repeating the small things he did was driving him wild.
