Cypher swallowed in shame and looked around, his throat burning with sudden confusion, nervousness, and fear that he couldn't say a word or reply to the Priestess. She was right, he wasn't supposed to be here without Kaylan waiting for him. He was too drowned in his thoughts and nervousness to notice the absence of Kaylan at his wedding. Slowly, reality dawned on him as not even Alec was present.
"Where's Alec?" He growled at Zane through the mindlink and he could hear him gulp. He could smell Zane's fear and he fisted his hands so hard that his body shook.
"Say something, Zane!" He was on the brink of going mad, losing it, and yelling. Atleast, he could bend a few rules for her, I mean who cares who waits for whom on a wedding night?
He could wait for eternity for her but someone should tell him that Kaylan was coming over and they were going to get married.
