Zane understood her fear and took her hands in his without saying a word. He passed through the other rooms on the terrace and walked through passages until it led to the last entrance that was blocked by a door.
She watched him retrieve what seemed like keys from his pockets and open the door that gave its way. It was dark and quiet but she wasn't scared. It was obvious Zane was trying to take another way other than the main entrance of the Pack's gate.
After walking through the dark for a few minutes with her hands tightly wrapped in his arms, they finally reached another door that led them directly outside the mansion, for a moment she was so confused that she looked around.
"You don't need to pass the Woods to get home. Here would lead you directly to White Falls, take a cab or something to get you there faster." He told her to ease her nervousness and she smiled at him, nodding at his words.
