Kaylan's lips trembled in pain and she couldn't overcome the shock at Cypher's disappearance. Why would he leave just like that when he was badly injured, her tears won't stop flowing from her eyes and she hoped that deep down he was fine and okay, wherever he may be.
"I'll check on him Kaylan, you need to rest," Zane told her which came as a surprise to her, his answer to her question twisted her heart in pain she couldn't imagine feeling and she ignored it.
"It's a lie! I refuse to believe that. I'm not going to leave Cypher no matter who he is! Don't tell me that we can't stay together because I won't believe that!" She cried so bitterly that Zane fisted his fabric tightly.
How on earth would Cypher react if she's acting this way already?
